Did you know that more people have died on Canada’s roads in the last 50 years than the number of Canadians killed in two world wars? In fact, the numbers tell us that on average, one person dies every three hours in road crashes every day. Many more are seriously hurt and road fatalities are the number one cause of death for young drivers aged 16-19 on a global scale.

Road safety is a shared responsibility…globally. That is why we work with industry stakeholders, community groups and the media to impress upon vehicle operators that situational awareness and driver training are key to making our roads safer.
